- No, the Israeli air force shut down the Syrian air force and then UAVs were deployed. A drone can't defend against or outrun a warplane.

- Don't overplay the power of drones. They can only be used against peasants who don't have the means to shoot them down. We could never employ them against a country with an air force. Although they have good dwell time, you could do what drones do with a piper cub.

- Of course Pakistan condones these strikes. Drones only work against prople with no air force. If Pakistan objected, she could send up a fighter jet to shoot the drones down.

- Well, I read the whole article, waiting for an answer to the situation posed in the title - "What to do if my nest egg gets fried". I never got an answer, only general retirement planning info that the author probably cut and pasted from the hundreds of articles already out there.
